 Question and Answers Regarding H1N1

CIRCULAR

Dear Parents,

We are happy to inform you that International Indian School, Riyadh has re-opened on 10th October, 2009 for senior classes i.e., Classes IX – XII and the classes have started functioning in full swing. However, we wish to remind you that if your child is suffering from Flu, cough, sore throat, headache, chills, fatigue, etc., please consult a Doctor and seek appropriate medical assistance.
The School has taken the following precautionary measures in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education.

1. Isolation room has been set up in the School, so that the affected students won’t have any contact with the other students and the spreading of the disease could be controlled.
2. Nurses and teachers are trained to take care of the affected students
3. Sanitizers are kept in the washroom and corridors
4. Masks will be provided if needed
5. Posters will be displayed in all the corridors related to A H1 N1.
6. All the toilet seats are changed to maintain hygiene
7. New water coolers have been installed, water tanks have been cleaned and pest control measures have been taken.
8. Medical rooms have been renovated and sufficient amount of required medicines have been provided.
9. Parents will be informed immediately if their wards are found with the symptoms of Swine Flu.

Doctors from the Ministry of Health and Dr Mohana, Member Admin Sub-committee will give a presentation for the staff so as to enlighten them regarding A H1 N1.
Additionally, the Ministry of Health has kindly consented to give vaccination to the students and if you wish to give vaccination to your children please inform the school authorities. If you have already given vaccination to your ward please inform the respective class teachers by the 19th of October, 2009 on the proforma.
