CIRCULAR

Dear Parents,

This has reference to the CBSE circular, CBSE/ACAD/2009 dated 29th September, 2009, regarding introduction of new educational policy and board examination for Class X and grading for secondary school for Class IX & X from the academic year 2009-10. The New Education policy has suggested that there must be an optional for board examination for Class X. The board examination for Class X may be considered as optional with effect from 2011. According to the new policy one academic year is divided into two quarters one from April – September and second is from October – March. In every term there will be two formative assessment and summative assessment. Formative assessment includes tests, class works, projects, etc and summative assessment will be the usual exam. The new educational policy will be implemented with immediate effect for Class IX, 2009-10.

The details of new educational policy and grading system for Classes IX & X will be explained to you by the Principal on Wednesday, 21st October, 2009, at 6.30 p.m. in the Girls School Auditorium through Power Point Presentation. All the parents are requested to attend the session and there will also be question and answer session after the power point presentation regarding the new educational policy.
